Different Light er et design av Justyna Larkowska og kommer i papirformat på engelsk. Les her hva designere selv skriver:
The shawl begins at the center and is worked outwards to the border. It is worked in sections, alternating two stitch patterns: garter stitch and simple tuck stitch. Then it is finished with a simple lace border.
The sample shawl is worked in a solid and a speckle but would look equally beautiful when knit in two solids or two speckles.
The border is both charted and written out.
Size One: approx. 160 cm/63” wide and 48 cm/19” long at center.
Yarn Martin’s Lab Comfy Merino (100% superwash merino; 400m/440y per 100g); 1 skein CC1 and 1 skein CC2.
Samples shown in:
purple one: For the Love (CC1) and Bilberry Stains (CC2);
yellow one: Inferno (CC1) and Saffron (CC2).
Needles 3.50 mm/US #4 circular needle (100 cm/40” long).
Other 2 stitch markers, tapestry needle for weaving.
Gauge 22 sts and 42 rows = 10 cm/4” in Garter st measured flat after wet blocking.
The gauge isn’t crucial on this project, but differences will affect the finished size as well as the required yardage so I strongly recommend making a swatch and adjusting the needle size if necessary.
